Frequently Asked QuestionsDeMark Service for Bloomberg ProfessionalWhy are the DeMark Indicators® moving to a third-party service within Bloomberg? For the past 12 years, Market Studies, LLC has licensed the DeMark Indicators to Bloomberg for use by its Bloomberg Professional® service clients. Both Market Studies and Bloomberg were hoping to extend the licensing arrangement as it came up for renewal, but were unable to do so. The decision to move the DeMark Indicators and all related functionality to a billable third-party service within Bloomberg was not an easy one. Market Studies decided it would be best to create a comprehensive DeMark Service that offered more functionality at a price that was consistent with our offerings on other platforms. Will I still be able to access the DeMark Indicators from my Bloomberg charts?Bloomberg Professional subscribers will continue to have free access to the DeMark Indicators through April 17, 2011, after which the studies and all related functionality will be accessible only to DeMark Service subscribers. Will the DeMark Enhancement Service for Bloomberg Professional change? All DeMark functionality for Bloomberg will be merging into the single DeMark Service on April 18, 2011. Because the current DeMark Enhancement Service will be ending, existing users will need to subscribe to the new DeMark Service. What is included in the new DeMark Service for Bloomberg? The new DeMark Service for Bloomberg will provide access to the full suite of nearly 60 DeMark Indicators, the TD Re-Search™ (TDRS <GO>) application, the DeMark Chat Room and, later in 2011, real-time DeMark Indicator scan and alert capabilities. How much will the DeMark Service for Bloomberg cost? What are my payment options? The DeMark Service for Bloomberg will cost $500 per month and can be paid via Bloomberg invoice, soft dollar and CSA accounts, or credit card. When considering payment methods, you should first determine if your firm will be covering the cost of your service, if you wish to use a CSA account (through Tradebook or other soft dollar brokers), or if you will be paying for the service personally. Moving the Indicators to a fee-based third party service will allow many firms to include the DeMark Service in their research budget as opposed to their market data budget. When considering price, please keep in mind that the monthly fee for the DeMark Service can be quickly be covered by five 10,000 share trades in which one penny per share is saved. Is there a minimum contract term? The DeMark Service does not require a minimum contract term. Customers subscribe to the service on a month-to-month basis and may terminate their subscription at any time with 30 days notice. How do I sign up for the new DeMark Service for Bloomberg? To subscribe to the DeMark Service for Bloomberg, select the Subscribe link throughout the www.marketstudies.com website or DEMA <GO> within your Bloomberg Professional terminal, and follow the simple step-by-step process.
