The SETUP indicator, used in conjunction with the SEQUENTIAL and COMBO indicators, and other similar DeMark Indicators® establishes the overall market environment of an asset. The SETUP indicator looks for a series of consecutive closes greater than or less than a designated number of closing price bars to define the underlying uptrend or downtrend. The COUNTDOWN indicator is used after the SETUP indicator is completed.
