The RANGE EXPANSION INDEX™ indicator is an arithmetically calculated oscillator used to help define existing price trends and predict price trend reversals. The RANGE EXPANSION INDEX indicator compares the price movement of the current price bar to the activity two trading bars earlier to arrive at an oscillator reading that is sensitive to periods of ascending and descending prices while, at the same time, silent during periods of sideways or aberrant price movement.
