The SETUP™ indicator, used in conjunction with the Sequential and Combo indicators, and other similar DeMark Indicators establishes the overall market environment of an asset. The SETUP indicator looks for a series of consecutive closes greater than or less than a designated number of closing price bars to define the underlying uptrend or downtrend. The Countdown indicator is used after the SETUP indicator is completed.
